Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa received Assistant Undersecretary for Security Border Checkpoints of the Kuwait Interior Ministry, Major-General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The meeting was also attended by the Kuwaiti Ambassador, Shaikh Azzam bin Mubarak Al-Sabah, Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan and Coast Guard Commander Brigadier Alaa Siyadi. The minister welcomed the official, hailing the strong and historical ties between the leaders and people of the two countries. He highlighted the dedication of the two states to continue to promote bilateral cooperation, especially in security to achieve joint goals and face security and stability related challenges.
The meeting reviewed coordination and cooperation in marine security and the advanced security capabilities achieved by the e-security siege project in the protection of borders, in addition to the efforts to develop the Coast Guard through equipping it with modern technology and providing the latest training opportunities.
