Cairo - Arab Today

Information Minister and Board of Trustees Chairman of Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi praised deep-rooted historic fraternal relations between Bahrain and Egypt and their progress at all levels. He stressed solid ties binding both countries and common keenness on the security, stability as well as political and economic prosperity of the Arab nation.
Al Romaihi was speaking as he met today with Egypt's State Information Service (SIS) Chairman Salah Abdel Sadaq, on the sidelines of the official visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to Egypt.
The minister hailed Egypt's historic role in supporting Arab issues and considering security and stability of Bahrain and the Arabian Gulf as an integral part of its national security. He underscored the importance of the Bahraini-Egyptian summit between HM the King and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in bolstering bilateral fraternal relations and promoting pan-Arab work regarding various issues on the agenda of the Arab Summit which will be held in Amman.
Al Romaihi reviewed ways of activating the media cooperation protocol between the Information Ministry and SIS, pointing out the importance of exchanging experiences and coordinating media efforts in the regional and international fora so as to serve Arab and Islamic issues. He also affirmed both countries' keenness to unify Arab efforts to ensure commitment of mass media and satellite channels to the Media Charter of Honour and their assumption of their historic responsibilities in promoting values of tolerance and mutual respect.
The SIS Chairman thanked Al Romaihi for the visit and his keenness to boost partnership and cooperation between both countries in the media field.
