Bahrain's participation in GITEX increases 20% from previous year
MANAMA - Arab Today

As part of the Bahraini participation in GITEX 2017, Tamkeen and Bahrain Technology Companies Society, BTECH, held an open meeting with 45 Bahraini exhibitors that will be present at this year’s Bahrain Pavilion at GITEX, being held from 8th to 12th October at Dubai World Trade Centre.

According to Bahrain News Agency, BNA, the meeting reviewed the latest arrangements to promote the benefits of participating in this global technical event, and how to achieve the best use for the ICT sector in Bahrain.

BNA added that 45 companies are expected to participate this year, an increase of nearly 20% from the previous year. This will contribute to their keeping abreast of global developments in the ICT sector and enhancing the presence of Bahrain’s IT industry in regional forums, increasing its contribution to national output.

Tamkeen's continued support of Bahrain's participation in GITEX stems from its keenness to promote Bahrain’s Information Communication Technology sector, which plays a significant role in raising the productivity and competitive capacity of private sector institutions.
