The Beit Al Khair Society has launched a massive food assistance programme to deliver 50,000 meals along with cold water and juices to workers in their workplace during the summer season.
Abdeed Al Awadi, Director of the Society, said the Emirates Islamic Bank-funded campaign is part of the Society's "Food for All" initiative to recognise the contributions of workers to national development.
"About 5,000 meals are delivered weekly. The initiative is a reward for and in solidarity with these important development partners. Our future plan is to increase the quantities of meals and the coverage of the project," he informed
