Leading organisations attain excellence through the exceptional services they provide to their clients, Sultan bin Sulayem, DP World Group Chairman and CEO and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, has said.

"Our success at the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation relies on our adoption of innovation and continued development as a daily practice and a corporate culture. This has helped us gain our prestigious worldwide reputation and unprecedented achievements," he added.

During the launch of the new world-class Port Rashid Customs Centre, Bin Sulayem reaffirmed the importance of facilitating the business and making the clients happy by providing smart services that add value to their trade.

"This can be achieved by the seven-star customs centre that follows the vision and wise directions of Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, of advancing services at government departments to resemble those provided by seven-star hotels and renowned aviation companies that work 24 hours a day," he added.

The launch of the new customs centre took place in the presence of Ahmed Mahbooh Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs; Shuaib Al Suwaidi, Director of Customs Intelligence Department; Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim, Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence at Dubai Customs; Edris Behzad, Client Management Director; Fouad Ali Al Suwaidi, Director of the HR Department; Yousef Al Hashimi, Director of Jebel Ali Customs Centre, and a number of heads of departments at Dubai Customs.

The new Port Rashid Customs Centre has been built following the latest and most advanced building standards. It’s easily accessible for the disabled. The building features a car park with space for 500 vehicles, buggies to drive clients from the car park to the building and a VIP lobby to receive and finalise the transactions and applications of distinguished clients.

"We are happy to launch the new Port Rashid Customs Centre, which was designed keeping in mind the international star classification system after carefully studying the clients’ actual needs and the latest practices in the field," said Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs.

"We have achieved very well on client happiness indicators scoring 97 percent on client happiness indicator, 89 percent on supplier happiness indicator and 90 percent on partner happiness indicator. We will not stop at this point, we will work hard to improve these brilliant results even further," he added.

Abdul Azziz Al Sulman, Senior Director of Port Rashid Customs Centre, said that they have launched the 'Comprehensive Employee Initiative' and integrated the 14 services that the centre provides into four packages. This will help reduce the time from 20 minutes to less than three minutes and enable one employee to attend to the client’s needs.
