Minister of Social Affairs Pierre Bou Assi said in a press conference held this Monday that when he took up his duties in the ministry, he noticed that the program on contractors in the ministry was set to expire at the end of 2016.
"I did not take the decision randomly. It is a livelihood matter for 400 people. After a comprehensive reassessment of the program, I learned that it would not be able to do the service for which it was created, because its term is over," he explained.
"I made the decision to stop the program accordingly," Bou Assi said.
"If we want to serve the young generation, we have to help them find jobs within their competence. Growth requires security and political stability and infrastructure, not disguised employment opportunities," he said
