The Administrative Court of Appeal has upheld the ruling of the Board of Grievances sentencing
Jeddah - Arab Today

The Administrative Court of Appeal has upheld the ruling of the Board of Grievances sentencing two expat brothers to five years in jail and SR10,000 fine each for fraud.
The younger brother was charged with admitting a young girl, with whom he had an illicit relationship, to a private hospital using the personal information of his brother’s wife so as to allow her to be treated for symptoms of miscarriage from the pregnancy of their relationship.
The girl filed a complaint with the Haia saying she was being blackmailed by a 21-year-old Arab expat with whom she had met and entered into the forbidden relationship, resulting in pregnancy.
Upon arresting the expat, inappropriate photos of the girl were found on his cell phone, in addition to photos of other girls he had extorted. He was detained, and his file transferred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution.
Investigation revealed evidence of forgery, as the brother’s wife, whose details were used to admit the young girl to the hospital, had not been pregnant or in need of medical attention at that time.
During the trial, both brothers denied the crime. The elder brother denied any involvement in admitting the young girl to the hospital using his wife’s details, while the younger brother said he intended to marry the young girl.
The court rejected their statements, and convicted them of the crime. The younger brother is also awaiting further punishment for blackmail and illicit relationship. The duo will be deported upon completion of their sentences.
