The Cairo Criminal Court upheld Thursday the Illicit Gains Authority’s decision to deny ex-president Hosni Mubarak and his family access to their assets.
The court’s decision comes after it has rejected a petition submitted by one of Suzan Mubarak’s relatives to lift the ban on their assets.
The court’s verdict to freeze assets of the ousted president’s family is based on documents presented by the Illicit Gains Authority, which proved their guilt for achieving illicit gains.
