Cairo criminal court ruled Tuesday in favor of keeping defendant Muhammad Al Zawahiri outside bars for 45 days pending investigations over establishing and leading a terrorist group called Al Taefa Al Mansoura.
The court ruling comes as a precautionary measure and forces Al Zawahiri to remain in his home during the 45 days.
Al Zawahiri would only be allowed to leave his home after gaining permission from the relative authorities, according to the court ruling.
The defendant is the brother of Terrorist Al Qaeda Group Leader Ayman Al Zawahiri.
