The Health and Population Ministry said Sunday the death toll among the Egyptian pilgrims rose to 46.
In statements, head of the medical hajj mission Ahmed el Ansary said the death toll rose during the Tashreq days due to stress and the old age of some pilgrims, noting that their age ranged between 50 to 85 years.
He said coordination is underway with bodies concerned to issue death certificates.
