The primary health sector of the Dubai Health Authority, DHA, has an Innovation Management System (TS 16555-1:2013) and Green & Clean Hospital Management Certification, making it one of the first primary health sectors worldwide to receive these certifications.
The authority also announced that the Nad Al Sheba Healthcare Centre received seven ISO certifications in Quality Management System (9001:2015), Environmental Management Systems (14001:2015), Health and Safety Management System (18001:2007), Social Responsibility (26001:2010), Quality Management-Customer Satisfaction (10001:2007), ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System, and ISO 10002:2014.
This totals the international accreditations received by primary healthcare centres to nine certificates in addition to the diamond category of the Canadian International Accreditation that the sector, which comprises 12 primary healthcare centres, received. They have also previously received the Joint Commission International accreditation.
Humaid Al Qutami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of the DHA, said that the accreditations gained by the authority’s primary healthcare centres are in line with the Dubai government’s vision and a natural outcome of the continuous support of the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the UAE leadership.
He added that the development of the primary health sector is one of the priorities of the authority’s 2016-2021 strategy due to its vital role in implementing prevention and treatment programmes as well as health services that the centres provide to their surrounding habitats.
Al Qutami congratulated the primary health sector employees for all these achievements adding that the authority appreciates all the efforts of those who have helped DHA achieve its goals of having a happy and healthy society.
Dr. Manal Taryam, CEO of the Primary Health Sector in Dubai, said that customer satisfaction and their trust in the sector’s services is the main reason why the centres received these international accreditations, adding that the centres will continuously strive to achieve customer satisfaction hence realising the authority’s strategic goals as a whole.
