The Dubai International Holy Quran Award, DIHQA, on Saturday concluded its participation in the Dubai Fitness Challenge with the determination to carry on and make sporting and physical activities a daily lifestyle for the staff.
Ibrahim Mohamed Bu Melha, Adviser to the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs and Head of DIHQA Organising Committee, said they were proud to be the first entity to zealously accept the challenge.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, launched the 30-day Dubai Fitness Challenge on 20th October.
The pioneering drive, involving physical and sporting activities, includes the participation of community members and groups, departments, authorities and educational institutions, as well as individuals, to promote exercise, and make Dubai one of the most active cities in the world.
All the members of the DIHQA organising committee, employees, and volunteers have shown ultimate commitment to the pioneering drive by exercising on a daily basis from the very beginning of the initiative on 20th October. All DIHQA staffers and volunteers efficiently and energetically got involved in a line-up of activities, including jogging, running, cycling, exercising, and physical or sporting activities at clubs, sports centres, and elsewhere.
Bu Melha said such exceptional initiatives are good for all members of the society. "The Dubai International Holy Quran Award affiliates have all pledged to keep exercising on a daily basis, and make it a lifestyle," he said, adding that the organising committee will honour all the staffers and volunteers who have shown commitment to the Dubai Fitness Challenge.
