The Dubai Charity Association has distributed 350 food baskets in Cape Verde, in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Senegal, as part of its Iftar Project in a number of African countries.
Representatives of the embassy, Muslim communities and a number of scholars attended the distribution of the aid to underprivileged families in the capital of Cape Verde, Praia.
Beneficiaries extended their thanks to the foundation, the only association to provide aid during the Holy Month of Ramadan in Cape Verde for the benefit of the Muslim needy families and people with special needs.
Ahmed Mesmar, Secretary-General of the Dubai Charity Association, hailed the huge efforts exerted by the UAE Embassy in Senegal. He said that the embassy has supervised the delivery of food assistance to a number of African countries.
