Dubai Customs recently organised a three-day training course for 60 managers and employees in cooperation with the Global Innovation Institute, GII, to hone their innovation skills.
The course, Certified Chief Innovation Officer, CCINO, was organised as part of the 2nd Dubai Customs Week under the theme, "We sustain security, together we grow". It comes within Dubai Customs’ efforts to develop its staff’s skills and encourage them to develop more innovation at work.
Speaking about the training course, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, said, "Dubai Customs adopts innovation as a daily practice and a fixed strategy, and we educate our employees on how to approach innovation and bring 'out of the box' ideas to the table. One way of doing this is to hold workshops and training courses like this one."
"Thanks to the new innovations we managed to develop customs work and promote the UAE as a leading country in this field. The UAE has jumped from 27th place in logistic services performance in 2014 to 14th place in 2016," he added.
Hussam Juma Mohammed, Director of Business Process Department and head of the innovation team in Dubai Customs, commented, "We have organised this training course to encourage innovation and get the best experience from GII, the worldwide leading training institute."
