Dubai Municipality recently discussed ways to enhance cooperation with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, MBRSC, in the provision and analysis of satellite data as well as studying them to obtain the desired information and results.
A municipality delegation headed by Najib Mohammed Saleh, Director of the Planning Department at Dubai Municipality, visited MBRSC and held discussion with Adnan Al Rayes, Director of MBRSC Department, and his team.
Saleh said that Dubai Municipality and MBRSC have a strong relationship and emphasised the need to enhance mutual cooperation. He added that Dubai Municipality is seeking more accurate and comprehensive data in order to achieve correct and comprehensive results that help achieve one of the strategic objectives of the municipality, which is "Sustainable Urban Planning for Future Dubai."
Al Rayes briefed the delegation about MBRSC’s most important achievements in the past years, and its services to government and private bodies. He also explained that the MBRSC has a long-term plan to reach Mars.
The discussions focused on enhancing mechanism of cooperation between both parties and methods to be adopted in utilising services provided by MBRSC, as well as the nature of the data and information needed by the Planning Department in developing its work and achieving its strategic objectives
