Fighter jet goes down over East Aswan district during armed forces exercise, pilot dies A Mig 21 fighter jet crashed on agricultural land in the Upper Egyptian district of Nasr Al-Nuba, Wednesday, killing the pilot and leaving a three metre-wide crashsite. The aircraft departed from Aswan airport and ran into trouble during a military training exercise over the East Aswan village of Bilana. Ambulances and fire-fighting trucks rushed to the scene of the accident. It took security several hours to find the pilot and confirm his death. From Ahramonline
