Egyptian Interior Ministry declared Saturday an emergency state of security in Sinai as security apparatuses have been informed that Jihadist armed groups intended to attack some police premises in the governorates of South Sinai and North Sinai, official news agency MENA reported. "The security forces are currently on the highest degree of alert," MENA quoted Assistant Interior Minister for Sinai Osama Ismail as saying, revealing they received information that Jihaist groups were planning to attack some police installations in the Sinai peninsular. Ismail also said that the security services in both Sinai governorates are working normally but the Central Security forces in Arish, the capital city of North Sinai, went on a strike early Saturday.
