The Rafah crossing will open Thursday for travelers registered for passage under the pilgrims category, and will close starting Friday until Sunday for the Labor Day holiday in Egypt, an official said. According to Ma'an news agency, Rafah crossing police director Ayoub Abu Sha'ar said all other travelers who were registered for passage on Thursday would be re-scheduled following the holiday. Meanwhile, Israeli occupation authorities decided to open Karam Abu Salem crossing for the delivery of food aid, fuel and a new batch of new vehicles into Gaza Strip. Palestinian crossings liaison official Raed Fattouh said that the Israeli authorities today decided to open the Karam Abu Salem crossing for the entry of 280 to 290 trucks loaded with aid for the commercial and agricultural sectors in the Gaza strip in addition to 20 new vehicles.
