An Egyptian national was killed on Friday in a fire at a wood factory in Al Fanar area, east of Beirut, Egypt's Ambassador to Lebanon Nazih el Nagari said.
The embassy made contacts with Lebanese authorities to follow up the incident and reached out to the manager of the ill-fated factory, Nagari said in a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry.
The diplomat asserted that the embassy had dispatched representatives to the site of the fire to collect information about the victim and get acquainted with the outcome of investigations in order to ensure that the Egyptian citizen will get his rights.
