The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will begin a visit to Britain during the period from November 27 to 29. Emir of Kuwait's visit to the United Kingdom will give significant boost to distinguished bilateral relations bounding the two countries in various sectors, Kuwait's Ambassador to the UK Khaled Al-Duwaisan said. In an exclusive interview with Kuwait news agency (KUNA), Al-Duwaisan said that during the visit Kuwait and Britain will celebrate the 60th anniversary of establishing the Kuwait Investment Office in London, alluding the deep ties of friendship between the two countries which manifested during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990, when Britain was one of the first countries to condemn the aggression and participate in the liberation of Kuwait. The Kuwaiti diplomat noted that there is a political coordination at the highest levels between the two countries and therefore, they hold regular consultations on issues of common concern, namely Gulf security. The two sides will sign several agreements during the visit, he revealed, however he stopped short of elaborating on nature of the forecast accords, according to KUNA.
