The delegation of the Emirates Red Crescent in Hadramout has met with Major General Faraj Salmeen Al Bahsani, Governor of Hadramout, in his office in Mukalla city.
The delegation, headed by Ahmed Al Neyadi, Deputy Head of the ERC Team in the region, briefed the Yemeni official on the progress of ERC projects, including the Sheikh Khalifa City residential project for those affected by the flood disaster in 2008.
During the meeting, Al Bahsani thanked the UAE and the ERC for their efforts to reduce the suffering of local citizens. He also praised the key role of the ERC in Hadramaut, which, he said, was highly beneficial for all its citizens, as well as the ERC’s desire to provide humanitarian assistance to Yemeni citizens, to reduce their suffering during the crisis facing their country.
Al Neyadi hailed the cooperation of Al Bahsani and the local authorities in the governorate, as well as their provision of the required facilities to ease the work of providing humanitarian assistance to the citizens of the governorate while stressing that the ERC will implement all types of projects, which could be beneficial to all local citizens.
The meeting comes as part of a series of meetings conducted by the ERC with the local authority in Hadramout province to discuss and study the needs of the governorate and review the projects under implementation sponsored by the UAE.
