The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has distributed school bags to students of two schools in Tarim Directorate in Hadramaut, as part of its efforts at the societal level and the Year of Giving Initiative launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Students of the two schools and their parents extended thanks and appreciated the humanitarian Emirati gesture and the continued efforts of the ERC team in Hadramaut to alleviate the burden on the Yemeni families in light of the dire living conditions the people are experiencing.
Speaking after the distribution of the aid, Abdul Aziz Al Jaberi Head of the ERC in Hadramaut, said that the assistance is part of the ERC's continuous humanitarian initiatives in the region.
He added that the UAE philanthropic organisation is implementing a series of projects in the educational field along with other programmes to prepare an educated generation which is able to build a new Yemen that is free of wars and crises.
