ERC launches aid campaign to assist 35,000 in Yemen's Jahaf district
ADEN - Arab Today

The Emirates Red Crescent has announced the launch of a water campaign to assist the people of the Jahaf district in Yemen's Dhale Governorate.

The campaign objectives include providing a number of tanks to ensure safe drinking water for 35,000 individuals who lack necessary humanitarian conditions; as a result of severe drought and lack of access to drinking water.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Juma Abdullah Al Mazrouei, Head of ERC Team in Aden, said that the authority is dealing with this humanitarian disaster quickly by providing water tanks to various citizens in the district's villages.

Al Mazrouei added that the ERC team were well received from the Jahaf district's residents, who expressed their thanks and appreciation of the UAE's continued support and humanitarian assistance.

The Jahaf district, located west of the Dhale Governorate, continues to witness the displacement of hundreds of families due to the severe conditions brought by extended drought.
