The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, today signed, in the city of Al Mukalla, the capital of Hadhramaut Governorate, Yemen, an agreement to maintain and restore the meeting hall and health facilities of Tarim Secondary School.
The agreement was signed by Abdulaziz Al Jabri, Head of the ERC Team in Hadhramaut, and Ahmed Mahfoudh Barufaid, Director of Tarim Secondary School.
Al Jabri stated that the maintenance and restoration project is part of the ERC’s support for education in Hadhramaut and the other liberated areas of Yemen, and is one of its key projects in these areas.
Al Jabri added that the ERC is currently discussing many infrastructure studies and projects which it will undertake through maintenance, restoration and construction while continuing its rescue and humanitarian support for residents.
Barufaid thanked the ERC for its efforts, which are part of the UAE’s efforts to support and provide attention to the liberated Yemeni governorates, especially Hadhramaut. He also noted their desired benefits from the project, and those it will bring to local education in Tarim.
