Flag Day represents national pride and sustainable progress

Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development, has said that the UAE's Flag Day celebrations are an opportunity to advocate patriotism and national pride in the continued developments witnessed by the country.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Dr. Al Nuaimi affirmed the ministry's immediate response to the call of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to observe Flag Day on 2nd November. Preparations for Flag Day celebrations are in full swing, he confirmed.

Flag Day celebrations stem from the deep-rooted national values of loyalty and belonging to the homeland and its wise leadership, Dr. Al Nuaimi went on to say. It is an occasion that holds a special a meaning for the UAE's citizens and its residents, he continued.

Dr. Al Nuaimi said that the national celebration is an occasion for which we must all work together to connect emerging generations with their national heritage, and acquaint them with the sacrifices made by the nation's founding fathers, who realised the vision of the union and embarked on its development journey.
