The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Professor Ibrahim Ghandour, has stressed that views have been identical between the Sudan and Kuwait on Arab, bilateral and particularly on issues related to the situation in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Yemen and Somalia.
The minister in a statement to the Sudan news agency at the end of president Bashir visit to Kuwait, which dealt with bilateral issues top of which the political, economic diplomatic questions, said the talks focused on Kuwait investment in the Sudan and they could be encouraged further for moving forwards further, in light of the Arab Food Security as approved by the most recent Arab league summit meeting in Jordan.
The two leaders, Ghandour told SUNA, have reaffirmed the strength of their bilateral relation and expressed their full satisfaction over the development of these relations.
The Minister referred to the Kuwaiti decision to supervise and spread the implementation of the conference set for the development and rehabilitation of Eastern Sudan and which has now lasted for ten years during which a huge number of projects have been implemented.
He said there are currently feasibility studies for over 220 projects of which 76 are ready for implementation and that Kuwait would be leading the way in the implementation of these projects in eastern Sudan
The minister referred to the huge role played by the Kuwait Development Fund and the Kuwait private sector in boosting the vital development projects in the Sudan, expressing his hope that the Kuwaitis would be play yet another vital role in the comprehensive development in the Sudan.
