The Fujairah Welfare Association has participated in the launch of the second operational site of the UAE Food Bank in the presence of Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the UAE Food Bank.
The Board members, representatives of charitable organisations and stakeholders of the initiatives, were also present. Ali Ibn Abbad, Director-General of the Fujairah Welfare Association, said that the initiative launched by Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in the Year of Giving, aimed to strengthen the deep-rooted Arabic and Islamic values which are instiled in the Emirati people.
He added that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid's aim is to pay attention to all sections of the society, while praising the UAE Food Bank, which constituted an integrated humanitarian system to bolster the distribution of food to the needy inside and outside the country, in co-operation with a network of local and international humanitarian and charitable associations.
