Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman has ordered immediate medical care for Egyptian pilgrims injured in an accident on the Al-Hijrah Road on Saturday.
At least 19 people died and 22 were injured, all of them Egyptians, when a bus carrying them to Makkah for Umrah overturned.
Deputy Governor of Madinah Abdul Mohsen bin Mohammed Al-Muneef said that he visited the injured and told officials to carry out the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Madinah governor, who are keen to provide all means of comfort and necessary medical care to meet the needs of the injured until their safe return to their country.
Al-Muneef said there is full coordination between different branches of the government in dealing with the accident.
The deputy governor also conveyed condolences of the governor to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
