Erez crossing
Ramallah - Arab Today

The Hamas-controlled Interior Ministry closed the Erez crossing on Sunday until further notice, ministry spokesman Iyad Bazm said.

The move comes a day after Hamas accused Israel of assassinating Mazen Fuqaha, a senior member of its military wing Ezzeldin al Qassam Brigades.

Bazm said humanitarian cases will be allowed to return to Gaza through the crossing.

The Erez crossing is the only pedestrian crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip.
