Manama - Arab Today

President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation and Deputy President of the Supreme Council for the Environment, HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, has congratulated HM the King’s Representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for clinching the first place the King Abdulaziz Festival Award for Camels in Saudi Arabia.

During the race, two-year-old camel "Shawama", owned by HH Shaikh Nasser, topped the "Almajaheem" contest, outclassing other participants from the GCC countries.

HH Shaikh Faisal pointed out that the award, named after the Founder of Saudi Arabia, is among the most important events in which various camel owners participate.

He added that HH Shaikh Nasser’s exploit during his first-ever participation was positive, expressing hope that outstanding results will be achieved in the next festivals.

He stressed that participation in such a key festival contributes to reviving Bahrain’s authentic heritage, especially regarding camels.
