Higher military committee of GCC chiefs meets

The 9th meeting of the higher military committee of the GCC chiefs of Staff kicked off here on Wednesday under the Chief of Staff of the UAE Lieutenant General Hamad bin Mohammed bin Thani Al Rumaithi. HE Chief Of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Hamad Bin Ali Attiyah leads his country''s delegatuion to the meeeting. The participants will discuss a number of topics on the agenda of the Supreme Committee, which aims to promote cooperation and joint follow-up things that would document and strengthen the fraternal bonds of interdependence between the brothers and to support the areas of coordination and defense cooperation between the armed forces in the GCC. The Chief of Staff, General Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Qabil, headed the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the meeting. For his part, Assistant Secretary General of GCC for Military Affairs Major General Khalifa Humaid Al Ka''abi and Commander of the GCC''s Al-Jazeera Shield Force Major General Mutlak Bin Salim Al Zimea and ambassadors of GCC states to the UAE are also joining the GCC top military officials who arrived in Abu Dhabi.
