The Iraqi security forces arrested 17 terrorists in Salahuddin province North of the capital, Baghdad, a police source said on Saturday."The security forces have detained 17 people accused of collaborating in terrorist attacks in Salahuddin," an Iraqi police source disclosed on condition of anonymity."The Iraqi security forces have also discovered a cache of ammunitions in their operations in the different parts of the province," he added.Also in January, Iraqi security forces killed nine members of the al-Qaeda-inspired Islamic State of Iraq (ISI) network and captured 10 others in an operation in Salahuddin.A provincial police official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Xinhua at the time that 12 policemen, including a brigade, sustained injuries in the operation against the terrorists.
