Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said he is working on avoiding the repetition of the participatory government experience in his country, which he saw gave way to the dominance of the political minority over the majority when partnership turned into crippling and lack of achievement. "I work towards not repeating this experience again," al-Maliki added. On the other hand Maliki asserted his upcoming visit to Russia comes in the context of what he called a policy of open doors, followed by Iraq with all countries of the world, reported Iraqi news agency (NINA). It is aimed at reviving relations with the Russian Federation and development in all fields, he added. The Prime Minister noted Iraq's position calling for a political solution to the crisis and the Syrian opposition to violence to resolve the crisis, stressing that "Iraq did not intervene in Syria not in favor of the regime neither for the benefit of the armed opposition."
