Speaker of the Arab Parliament Ahmed al Jarwan urged the Arab League on Thursday to intervene to find a solution to the Syrian crisis, especially after the UN failure to end the bloodshed in the country.
Speaking at the end of his visit to Greece, Jarwan warned of serious regional and international repercussions of the Syrian crisis.
He called for meeting the needs of the Syrian refugees and providing the Syrian elderly, women and children with necessary medical care.
The Arab Parliament is keen on ending bloodshed in Syria, he said, warning that some bodies seek to exploit the Syrian refugee file to serve their own interests.
Jarwan called on the Arab League and international community to shoulder their responsibility towards the Syrian people and find a solution to the issue of Syrian refugees as soon as possible.
