Head of the Democratic Gathering, MP Walid Jumblatt, on Friday upped calls to cease the waste of public funds and to make the required administrative reforms to prevent an economic crisis in the country.
Jumblatt took to Twitter to propose a series of economic measures, following President Michel Aoun's call for a conference Monday to discuss the salary scale and the taxes.
In his tweet, Jumblatt highlighted the necessity to secure revenues before increasing wages, suggesting reforming the retirement system and ceasing waste at the telecom and electricity sectors
