We were not surprised by the US administration's attempt, through its representative at the Security Council, to secure the demands of the Zionist entity and its government to serve the Israeli enemy's best interests," MP Kassem Hashem, a member of the "Development and Liberation" Parliamentary bloc said on Thursday, deeming enemy politics a constant threat to Lebanon.
"They want to render UNIFIL forces a tool in the service of Israel and its aggressions, a thing which confirms US bias in favor of Israel and at the expense of our homeland and our security," the lawmaker said.
He went on to deprecate what he described as "the dubious American role, which is always trying to garner the support international organizations and bodies in the service of Israeli interests, even if this would contradict with international norms
