Kataeb Party hailed the Lebanese army as the sole defender of the nation's existence, borders, sovereignty and dignity, saying that the "Dawn of the Outskirts" operation has proved that the army is well prepared and capable of solely tackling and winning this battle and any other battle fought.
"We bow in tribute of the army's martyrs and the wounded soldiers.. We declare full solidarity with the military institution at these crucial moments," Kataeb Party said in a statement on Monday in the wake of its politburo's weekly meeting, chaired by Party chief MP Sami Gemayel.
The meeting took up the latest developments on the local arena.
Kataeb stressed that "there is neither salvation nor hope except through the military institution", urging all the Lebanese to overcome all considerations and rally around the military.
The Lawmaker also said that the army's victory in its battles reinforces the concept of the state and its sovereignty.
On the other hand, Kataeb said that the opposition led by the Phalange Party in the face of the electricity generating vessels' tender, in terms of exposing its scientific and legal flaws, forced the political authority to cancel the "canned tender."
The Party warned the political authority not to repeat its mistakes and jumping over the law, rules and principles
