Kuwait Minister of Commerce and Industry Anas Al-Saleh arrived in the Saudi capital on Monday to participate in next Wednesday's GCC ministers of trade and commerce meeting. Upon arrival, the minister and his accompanying delegation was received by Secretary General of GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) Nabeel Al-Molla, Advisors to Kuwait Embassy in Saudi Arabia Wael Al-Enezi and Mishal Al-Daboos. The minister partakes in a ministerial GCC council meeting, and a meeting of the GCC ministers of industry in GCC Secretariat headquarters next Wednesday. The meetings will discuss commercial cooperation issues, which aim at removing obstacles and supporting commercial exchange of commodities and services among the six GCC countries. The meetings will also aim at discussing new commercial cooperation proposals and follow up on a number of projects, laws, and commercial regulations. The ministers are scheduled to also discuss the issue of consumer protection and food safety, including recommendations by subcommittees regarding commerce reviews and studies. The ministers will review progress and preparation for the fourth GCC and India businessmen conference.
