His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to Emperor Akihito of Japan on his birthday.
HM the King extended sincerest congratulations to the Japanese monarch, wishing him abundant health and happiness on this occasion.
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa sent two similar cables of congratulations to Japanese Heir Apparent Naruhito and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister sent a similar congratulatory cable to Emperor Akihito.
