His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received congratulations from Arab Parliament Deputy President Adel Al Assoumi on the success of Bahrain International Defence Exhibition & Conference (BIDEC 2017).

In a press statement, the AP Deputy President said the BIDEC 2017 affirms HM the King’s interest in accentuating Bahrain’s reputation in various areas, chiefly defence and security.

He commended the government’s cooperation with the BIDEC supreme organizing committee in line with the directives of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on overcoming obstacles for the success of the event.

He also commended the support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and his contribution to the success achieved.

He paid tribute to the participation of the Bahrain Defence Force and keenness of Commander-in-chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa to strengthen Bahrain’s defence for maintaining national stability, security and achievements.

He lauded the tremendous efforts of Royal Guard Commander, Head of the Supreme Organising Committee, HH Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, that brought the success, noting the outstanding accomplishments made by Shaikh Nasser at sport, social and military levels. He also hailed the huge support of Commander of Royal Guard’s Special Force, HH Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and his role in defending Bahrain’s security and stability.

He pointed out the efforts of Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (DERASAT) to make the event successful.

He took pride in the event’s high organizational level that grabbed the international interest, and its positive effect on trade and tourism sectors.
