Libyan authorities released on Thursday four Egyptian Christian, who was detained in Libya last month for allegedly proselytizing in the predominantly Muslim nation, well-placed papal sources said. Five Egyptian Copts, including Ezzat Hakim, 45, who died in jail, were nabbed by the Libyan authorities on March 15 over allegedly missionary activities in the country. The Libyan authorities decided to clear them from all accusations leveled against them, sources told MENA The sources praised efforts exerted by the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli to secure the release of the detainees.
