Libya's new Minister of Social Affairs Ms Mabruka al-Sherif Jibril said Thursday that Tripoli is trying to settle families displaced during the recent NATO air attacks as well as the civil war in the country. Talking to IRNA, she said a large number of Libyan families have been displaced or have been made to migrate to other cities or regions as a result of NATO air strkies during its military operations and the civil war in the country in the past few months. The Libyan interim government is trying hard to prepare the ground for return of people to their normal life, she added. The war disabled are in dire need of social services, the minister said, adding that they will enjoy civil rights as soon as the new law will be ratified. The Libyan interim government announced last week that a center will be established to keep and treat the war disabled with the help of several European companies. The center, to be constructed in the suburb of Tripoli, will become operational by 2013.
