A man was strangled on the doorstep of a home after a business squabble, Royal Oman Police have confirmed.
A suspect has been arrested on charges of murder after the attack, in Al Seeb, officials said.
The Department of Criminal Investigation at Al Khoud Police Station have arrested a man of Asian nationality, who is accused of committing murder in Al Maabela.
A source within the ROP said that the station received a report of a dead body, of Asian nationality, found lying at the entrance of a house at Al Maabela, Al Seeb.
When police arrived at the scene of the crime and examined the body, they found that he had been strangled.
Further investigations resulted in the arrest of the alleged murderer. The suspect confessed to the crime, and said that the reason for the homicide was that the victim had not paid an amount of money that he owed to the perpetrator.
Legal action is underway, as the perpetrator's case file has been referred to Public Prosecution to complete the rest of the proceedings.
