The Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, MBRU, has announced the creation of two scholarship programmes beginning in the academic year 2018/2019.
The first scholarship is the Future Doctors Scholarship Programme, which provides the top ten ranked students in each cohort of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme, including incoming cohorts, with a 30 percent discount on their annual tuition fees.
The second is the Jood Scholarship Programme, which provides ten students with a demonstrated financial need, in each cohort of the MBBS programme, up to 50 percent off on their annual tuition fees.
The two scholarship opportunities will be available to all students enrolled in the MBBS programme at MBRU’s College of Medicine. Applications to the College of Medicine will close on January 15, 2018. MBRU is proud to introduce the scholarship schemes in line with the Year of Giving.
Professor Alawi Alsheikh-Ali, Dean of the College of Medicine, said, "We’re very excited about the newly introduced scholarship opportunities. We believe in doing the most we can for our current and prospective students. We hope to introduce additional schemes as we welcome more cohorts in the future."
