Border guards in the southern region arrested a drug dealer after an exchange of fire, Military Spokesman Tamer al Refai said.
In a statement released on Monday, the spokesman said the border guards seized the dealer's car after opening fire at him and found 75 kilograms of heroine, a sniper rifle, mobile phones, gun shots and detection devices.
He also said the raid comes as part of the Armed Forces' ongoing efforts to chase out criminal and takfiri elements with the aim of maintaining the Egyptian national security at all strategic fronts.
