The Ministry of Interior has kicked off the second round of its Innovation Diploma Programme in collaboration with the Higher Colleges of Technology, as part of its efforts to provide knowledge and information through the use of advanced technologies to support innovators, as well as to develop their capacities and skills, which would reflect positively on their work and the development of the institution.

Colonel Faisal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Deputy Director-General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior, said that the ministry had drafted action plans to encourage all its recruits to innovate and improve the level of police and security action.

Al Shuaibi revealed that the Ministry of Interior recruits studying this diploma would receive theoretical lectures and practical exercises that would focus on innovative methods and concepts.

Some 100 individuals participated in the first round of the diploma's proceedings, and its lecture programmes at the Higher Colleges of Technology, he added.

He explained that the innovation diploma was aimed at achieving the ministry’s strategic goals and implementing the institutional excellence standards, as well as preparing a generation of specialised trainers in innovation at the ministry.
