UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met here today with Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi who is currently visiting the UAE. Emirates News Agency (WAM) said talks during the meeting dealt with the current Arab situation and political developments in some Arab countries in the light of the popular call for change. The talks also touched on the Arab and international efforts aimed to find an appropriate and urgent solution to the situation in Syria which witness escalating violence and killing between the opposition and the Syrian regime. Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid underlined the attention paid by the UAE to Arab development, its persistent follow-up of events and assistance to strengthen stability, social justice and development in the Arab world in order to attain Arab peoples aspirations for change at various political, economic, social and educational levels.
