No fear for Lebanon under its leadership and unity of its people

National Defense Minister Yaacoub al-Sarraf said during a meeting with visiting delegations at his Minnieh residence on Saturday that "there is no fear over Lebanon under its current leadership and the unity of its people, which has manifested in its finest form."

"We can overcome the negative atmosphere around us as quickly as possible," he added.

"The security situation is intact and stability is safeguarded by the Lebanese army, which is keen on maintaining internal security and civil peace. The army and security forces are on the lookout for anyone who attempts to tamper with the security of the country," Sarraf reassured.

He praised the "wisdom of President Michel Aoun in managing the crisis, as he succeeded in securing an international support network for Lebanon, setting new rules in respecting its sovereignty, decision and word."

"The crisis we have experienced has proven the wisdom of the leaders who put aside all their differences and rallied around the head of state, dealing with the current situation from a purely national perspective which reflected positively on Lebanon," he underscored.

Sarraf congratulated PM Hariri, saying, "We are awaiting your return on Independence Day, so that our celebrations would be complete in the presence of all the State's pillars and leaders
