The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, met here Sunday with Tunisian Foreign Minister, Dr. Rafik Abdessalem. During the meeting, Ihsanoglu praised lauded the relations between the OIC and Tunisia. He confirmed OIC’s readiness to develop these relationships in various fields. For his part, Dr. Rafik Abdessalem affirmed Tunisia’s keenness to renew and deepen its ties with the OIC for being the main tributary of the joint Islamic action for advancement of the Islamic nation and its people. The Tunisian Foreign Minister also praised the central regional and international role played by the organization for the good and pride of the peoples of the Islamic nation as a whole.
