Khamis bin Abdullah Al Farsi, Director General of Commerce at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that an amended Exhibition Regulation has been issued to develop the sector and to meet its needs in the future.
He said the new regulation will introduce new types of exhibitions, such as charity, and Eid exhibitions and also provide a new mechanism to distribute the specialised consumer exhibition and open the field to organise national products exhibitions and excepting them from previous requirements. He said the new regulation provides a mechanism to evaluate different types of exhibitors and ensure development of this sector and provide the opportunity for new companies to organise exhibitions using novel ideas.
